I suppose we’ll just have to agree to disagree. I think this use of space isn’t best for making Gowanus into a neighborhood that is comparable in quality to its dense surrounding neighborhoods and doesn’t serve the people who actually live in the area – you think this is convenient and will be good for families and people with cars who want to shop at Whole Foods. The parking lot is there, regardless of this debate, so enjoy taking advantage of it!
Affordable housing would be even better, I agree. I thought this wasn’t worth your time, though? 🙂
