It’s been in the making for nearly two years, but at long last Lucali spin-off Giuseppina’s has opened in Greenwood Heights. Park Slope Patch delivers an early report and says the pizza “was everything the perfect pie should be.” Like Lucali, the menu is limited to pizza and calzones, but unlike its predecessor, Giuseppina’s serves wine and beer. Has anyone been? How does it compare to the Henry Street original?

  1. Thanks for not calling it the South Slope, people keep trying to expand the borders, but you correctly list it at Greenwood Heights.

That being said, with all these wonderful reviews, I’m heading there tonight!

    : )

  2. Ignazio’s at 4 Water way better than Grimaldis, which will be gone when their lease expires. Grimaldi’s cooks too fast and doesn’t always char the bottom of the pie. Tourist stop.
    Fornino great.

  3. “that car wash etc is a freakin gold mine, no way that’s going away… ”

FJ, I’m thinking G10 may be right. There is a plot of land NEXT to the car wash, on 7th, that has had some work going on. That would be exciting.
