In and out, mostly out, all day, as I have a deadline for tomorrow. Nice to see everyone here.
Just to keep up my rep as benson’s foil – I think I agreed with fsrg once. We agreed that it was a Monday, one Monday.
Columbus accomplished great deeds. No one can take that away from him. I don’t think it is merely politically correct, or sacriligious to also point out that he was far from perfect. He may have been a product of his time, but that doesn’t excuse his participation in the eradication of the Arawaks, it’s all part of who he was and what he did. I think it’s possible to remember him for his positive accomplishments, while remembering that he also had major flaws, and participated in some heinous deeds. I think that is much more historically correct than to act as if those events did not take place.
If it weren’t for the United States there would be no Canada.
m4l, I was just thinking you said bensonhurts to please Bxgrl.
Another food invented in Canada is instant mashed potatoes.
Nothing like some processed cheese on instant mashed potatoes. No wonder we’re such a hardy people.
Don’t take it too hard Biff, I’m trying to get recognition for apple-pie-inventing-nation bragging rights.
Ditto, am immigrant therefore that’s more than close enough
Biff, who are any of these people again?
Veal? Doesn’t that come from a baby cow?
Yeah, I’m ready for a vegetarian lunch now
