That would be a slick jab but not my style. if I’m going to say something negative about someone, it’ll come across very blunt and black & white.

I’m not Italian, but Lydia of Lydia’s kitchen, who I trust as the oracle of all things Italian, said in one of her shows that Italians did make meatballs, but that they were much smaller than the American ones. but she comes from way north Italy, near Trieste.

Ditto, no hard feelings, of course. Growing up as a neighbour to the US, every Canadian quickly develops an inferiority complex. So whenever we feel the unprompted need to be defensive, we quickly respond by presenting people a Government-issued list of individuals revered in
Canada and pretty much unknown in the rest of the world.
Yes, veal is young calf. It’s very very cruel and delicious meat.
