Barry Goldwater was born in Indian Territory later to be known as Arizona. I was reading somewhere that it was an issue when he ran for president back in the 60’s because of the native-born rule.

My in-laws says her mother family made them. They started back from when there wasn’t refrigeration and the scraps and trimmings had to be used before they spoiled. They threw nothing away not even the littlest tidbits of meat.
But since Benson says not so I’m going to have to tell her that her mother made it all up.

The prose isn’t the best, and the author does beat the idea to death (in my opinion), but the ideas are interesting. Well worth a read.
