What’s on Tap in Prospect Heights?

On Thursday night Community Board 8 reviewed applications a few new liquor licenses, green-lighting two but not supporting another:
-The ixnay first: The Bearded Lady, a bar and restaurant, is seeking a full liquor license at 686A Washington Avenue, at St. Marks (pictured); although the application was supported by CB8’s Economic Development subcommittee, the board didn’t vote in favor of the license request. (12 were in favor, 7 weren’t, and there were 12 abstentions.) GMAP
-The board did vote in favor of a license for The Calf BK, an Australian restaurant planned for 611 Vanderbilt between Bergen and St. Marks. The restaurant will be small, seating 22 with another 10 at the bar. GMAP
-And, finally, the board also approved the liquor-license application for the much talked about ramen shop from old Morimoto chefs at 552 Vanderbilt, at Dean. The restaurant will be called Chuko, will seat 30, and have a bar for 10. GMAP
