Yesterday the Bed Stuy Blog reported the rumor that an Italian restaurant was prepping to open at 327 Stuyvesant Avenue at the corner of Macon Street. From what we hear, this is right on the money. In fact, word is that the guy behind the new restaurant is David Seatts, who started Tavern on Nostrand, so it should be nice.

  1. Dave….

It was at least 2 or so years ago….haven’t been back since. I planned on giving the new owners a try…..but was waiting for the name dispute to be over between them and Dave, and they most recently had plumbing issues…..plus my schedule hasn’t permitted.

    ACHL…..

The pizza is alot better since he sold that place, and brick oven pizza indeed isn’t pizza cooked in an oven mounted onto a brick wall….ridiculous.

  2. Moreteasir….

And when he first opened the “Authentic Brick Oven” pizza shop across the street it was pricey and the pizza was a C at best. And while in there one day I realized that the brick oven was a FAKE! lol
