Yesterday the Bed Stuy Blog reported the rumor that an Italian restaurant was prepping to open at 327 Stuyvesant Avenue at the corner of Macon Street. From what we hear, this is right on the money. In fact, word is that the guy behind the new restaurant is David Seatts, who started Tavern on Nostrand, so it should be nice.

Actually, when you do a search for David Seatts in the Supreme Court, Kings County, it seems that he has lost all the cases against him.
Either way, it will be interesting to see if this Italian Restaurant opens and if Butternut ever opens.
I wish them both the best of luck, but considering David Seatts business history.., only time will tell.
bryanx, we pulled a classic “bait and switch.” it’ll open one block up at the old Solomon’s Porch space.
Wait… what happened to the “Butternut Market coming soon” sign that has been baiting the neighborhood from different storefronts (including this one) for the past 2 years?
yeah I do Dave. That was kinda fake french. But I did like the food sometimes.
“mist of a sex scandal”
Keep mouth/nose closed if walking through that mist.
Amzi, you don’t remember Le Petit Bassam???
I have notice a lot of native Italians also in Bedford Stuyvesant mostly Stuyvesant Heights along with other native born Europeans who are moving in such as French. Maybe we will get a French restaurant next.
Bottom line here is that this restaurant along with butternut market on the next corner and the new Saraghina place that will open are going to bootstrap this neighborhood to a much higher level.
That, i have a vested interest in.
…by the way, ever heard of step kids?
