Brooklyn Real Estate Listings Six Months Later: Two Sold, One Still Available

There’s a thick blanket of snow covering the ground, but to get your mind off that, let’s take a trip back to August and check in with how four of our featured listings fared on the market.

Abundance is the word that’s brought to mind by this former House of the Day, a giant Greek Revival at 15 Willow Street in Brooklyn Heights. There may be things the wealthy Brooklyn homebuyer is looking for that this home doesn’t offer, but it’s not immediately obvious what they might be. This home is still available at a reduced price of $12.5 million.

This House of the Day is a three-story brick house at 82 Pioneer Street in Red Hook. It has a rustic, cottage-like vibe, with its painted wood floors, beamed ceilings and painted brick walls. A legal two-family, it’s set up as a single residence, with two bedrooms and 2.5 baths. It sold in December for $1.7 million, $50,000 above ask.

This former Co-op of the Day is a Clinton Hill co-op laid out in a linear fashion, with a large living room/dining room and three bedrooms lined up end to end and connected by a long hallway. It’s on Mansion Row in the Clinton Hill historic district, in a prominent 32-unit elevator building known as the Clinton Apartments at 275 Clinton Avenue. It sold in January for $1.35 million.

In Carroll Gardens, we have a two-family brownstone with exposed brick and marble mantels on a double lot. It’s set up as a simplex over a duplex. The backyard stretches across both lots, and there is also gated parking. A buyer could build a carriage house, studio or townhouse of up to 4,000 square feet, suggests the listing. This Open House pick was taken off the market in November.
