In light of severe height constraints, I’ve never been a big basketball fan. And, let me tell you, playing in gym and at camp, when, hard as it is to believe, I was even shorter than I am now (yes, it’s true), was no picnic.
Actually, Snappy, I looked at one downtown asking 1/2 mil for a 2/2.5 flat and 3/4 mil for a 2/2.5 duplex that used to sell well over a mil. Not cheap for off beach.
I think LeBron pissed off a lot of people by announcing his plans the way he did. It would have been much more respectful, especially to Cleveland, to just have a lowkey announcement. As for Miami, who can blame a young guy for wanting to play with two other superstars and living in South Beach?
I thought LeBron did very well with the questions, until I noticed he had an earpiece in. I suspect he had many answers fed to him by his Agent or someone else. Plus, I’m sure he was prepped for all the possible questions that could be asked.
ROFL Tybur! It’s a major lament of the black community trying to encourage kid to get an education, only to have the kids say they don’t need one since they’ll be a basketball/baseball/football star. Ugh!
the flea is #1 destination list? :-/ sorry.. i mean i guess it’s cool and all but me personally i just cant get on the flea bandwagon. everything is waaaaaaaaaay too yuppie for me from the “antiques” to the ridiculous granny crafts, and the overpriced food. um no. give me an old fashioned flea market or a stoop sale anyday. going to the flea tho is an amazing self-actualizing experience for me cuz im all like wow im soooooo not like any of these people. an emotional self esteem booster, fer sure.
Fine. I know it’s early for Raunch Hour, and it’s probably a forward question, if not downright rude, but it’s hot and humid and I’m punchy, so I’m going to ask anyway:
It would be pure Schadenfreude… but I would be tickled pink (that’s a dumb expression) if “King James” broke his arm a week into the season.

yep. basketball is definitely a form of institutionalized racism. totally vile, and people fall for it hook, line, and sinker.
