Why, dontatella? You make me want to start a Ponzi scheme.

HA! Ok, duly noted. Should I now approach your real estate advice with the same caution?

  2. “Oh, and last time I checked, there’s still only one ball in play”

Hitler, he only had one ball, Goering had two, but very small, Himmler, had something similar, but Dr. Goebbels had no balls at all!

I’d “sing” that for you, but, as those who have heard my karaoke know, you’ll be glad I dint.

  3. why all the hate on Lebron? dude made his decision. we move on. We welcome Carmelo and Chris Paul to the area – SOONER the better.

as pure basketball fan, it’ll create some nice rivalries in the east vs it being a 2 team conference the last fews years (magic vs. celtics)

  4. Slope — the rhetoric about “leading his team” and a “devalued legacy” and really anything along those lines is painful to me. It’s FUCKING throwing an orange bouncy ball into a fucking circle.

I don’t hate basketball. It’s fun to watch (personally, it’s not something I can play.. ok i suck). I’ve also been swept up into the World Cup fever – I’m not somehow immune to the awesomeness of sport. I’m just so effing sad to see the glorification of folks like this… according to current standards, LeBron James is only marginally educated. His entire life is controlled others. And his ONLY skill is playing a playground game at a elite level.

MEANWHILE there are about 20 black men represented in the Federal Government (half of which are total bozos) and performance gap between black males and EVERYONE ELSE is growing and growing. I would argue due, in part, to jokers like this “King James.” His ‘legacy’ has nothing to do with a title…. his legacy (and the legacy of so many other Basketball and Football stars) is “inspiring” thousands or millions of young black men to focus all of their energy on frivolity.

Professional sports pisses me off a bit. (I didn’t even mention the valuation of salaries… it’s akin to the reality disconnect that is NYC real estate.)
