We spoke to him about his custom furniture showroom on Plymouth Street, what led to his career in woodwork, and how he likes to spend his time in Dumbo. If you’re thinking of moving to Dumbo, you couldn’t have a better guide.

The exterior of Vinegar Hill House’s cafe expansion is looking a lot more charming than the boarded-up storefront it once was. (Grub Street noticed a SWO at the construction site last October.) Once it opens, the joint – to be called Hillside – will serve light food, wine, and beer. Owners are still waiting on city rigmarole before they set an opening date, but it should come in the next few months.
