The bar, once known for its large outdoor area and banning of children, was taken down along with the entire side of the block on Atlantic Avenue between Clinton and Vanderbilt avenues.
A 29-story Morris Adjmi-designed skyscraper that will swallow up Hot Bird in Clinton Hill has a new shape, the better to see the landmarked church next to it.
The neighborhood favorite may soon be replaced by a Morris Adjmi-designed 29-story residential building.
According to a tipster and Grub Street, Little Brother BBQ opened over the weekend at 544 Clinton Avenue, right next to Hot Bird. The proprietors also own Fort Greene’s Smoke Joint and Bed Stuy’s Peaches. On the menu? Hormone-free barbecue sandwiches, salads, hot dogs, chili, and baked beans, all under 10 bucks! There’s a menu at the website. Hours (according to a sign outside the restaurant, not the website) are from 5pm – 11pm… perfect for some late-night noshing after (or before) a beer next door.
