In August we had a single-room, shared bathroom Rental of the Day at 77 St. Marks Ave. Here’s another, not far away! This is a studio (kind of) at 388 Park Place in Prospect Heights. Again, great location, but tiny living space and a shared bathroom quarters. Considering the apartment on St. Marks Ave. is still up for rent and was reduced to $750 a month, they may have a tough time with the monthly rent of $900.

  1. It is also, as I recall, fairly hard to get the job at Starbucks in the first place. Especially in a place like Philly where there aren’t very many other jobs and there are a ton of college students and recent grads.

  2. quote:
You could work at Starbucks in Philly and afford to rent a decent one bedroom in a decent area.

and have health insurance to boot! but only an insane person with no other options would work in starbucks. you do realize how high-stress it is, right?

  3. to the person bemoaning the kitchen. um that is a GORGEOUS kitchen for an SRO type of deal. most likely the person living there wont even use and it just keep their shoes in the fridge and sweaters in the oven anyway. i would move into something like this in a second if i didn’t have a dog and like living where i live now.

  4. seems a lot more affordable to anything else out there. you can find a real share for a similar price im sure, but maybe this is geared for a freak who cant along living with other people and has no problem peeing and pooping in bags and showering at their gym?
