Rental of the Day: 128 Clinton Avenue
Here’s a pretty spectacular three-bedroom rental in a 1839 Clinton Hill “farm house.” The house, at 128 Clinton Avenue, looks well-preserved with unique details throughout; we’re even loving the bathroom. (The house was on the Clinton Hill House Tour a few years ago, we believe.) With a backyard garden and a front porch, that’s about the closest to (high-end) country living in Brooklyn that you’re going to get! It is listed for $5,250 a month. Sound like a fair price to you?

Love it! But I agree with DIBS. If I were the owner, I’d be afraid to rent it out. They must be desperate. But what a beautiful place.
A relative bargain compared to yesterday’s $18,000 a month.
But it’s for a duplex, not the whole house? Not loving the ground floor bedrooms with tile floors and lowered ceiling but I guess it’s the tradeoff you make.
I think the mural is very nice, very grand rooms although I wouldn’t do it that way myself. I surely wouldn’t mind visiting.
I can hear the BQE thru all of that pink.
I don’t actually like what they dod to the walls & ceiling.
I’d be afraid renters would ruin it.
this is just so wonderful. i honestly love the pink. would live here in a heartbeat if i had the money.
Meh, for $1,000 less you can get an “original” Williamsburg apartment (http://bstoner.wpengine.com/brownstoner/archives/2010/07/rental_of_the_d_27.php#comments).
very nicely done. The price seems fair. The problem is the location which is not convenient to the trains. If someone drives or bikes to work then this is perfect. The painted ceiling is very fancy. I would like a better look at it.
Montrose, there’s a topic. Painted ceiling murals.
That’s a whole lot a pink!
