This three-bedroom, one-bathroom offering at 129 Fort Greene Place is looking pretty good. In addition to its central location, it’s got a lot of space (1,500 square feet over two floors) and even some historic charm, which is hard to find in a rental. What about its asking price of $4,000 a month? We would have thought this would be closer to $3,500.

  1. DH, exactly. people are forgeting the 4k is not peanuts and please expect more for 4k. we dont have massive inflation here (just stupid prices in real estate). think 1.5 baths is a minimum for that price point

  2. I know. 4 people in a house with one bathroom. What did they do in olden times?! Puhleez. Fort Greene is not the East Village. People are not that pressed to squeeze into a duplex to get into the neighborhood that bad. Four people will not be sharing that apartment.

  3. Not the creative class, rob, but you know, the little people who have to drop their kids to school and have to show up at work on time, THOSE people probably have to get up and get ready at the same time. Sometimes, you really are a complete doofus, just as out-of-touch as an Upper East Side socialite.

  4. quote:
this isn’t a 1-person studio. Whether a family or a share, you’re looking at 4 people sharing 1 bath. Not a good situation in the morning.

oh get the F out of here already with that crap. does everyone take a shi+ at the same time? does everyone wake up at the same time? are you THAT incontinent? get a diaper.
