We’ve always loved the warehouse buildings on the Red Hook waterfront, but don’t often see listings pop up for available apartments. This particular loft rental at 275 Conover Street (aka the Fairway building) is right on the water and has the killer views to prove it. We also love the windows and exposed beams. The one-bedroom, two-bathroom unit is asking $3,600. Hardly cheap by Red Hook standards but we suspect it’ll find a taker without too much trouble.

This is a great plce. Joshua Guttman could have done the same with the Greenpoint Terminal Warehouse, right on the river, but instead he burnt it down.
It was a fake ad; the building at 300 20th comprises 4 x 2-bedroom apartments, and it’s new construction, so there wouldn’t be a brick wall.

I am not sure whether it was a 100-word typo, or all-out fraud, but my disappeared forum post called on Mr. B to keept the rental post, strike out the text and give an edit. I think it would be educational for prospective renters and brokers alike, and help Brownstoner stand out from Craigslist.
Just realized what this is…surprised to see Halstead got the listing. I thought this building was still owned/controlled by the O’Connell family. They usually do their own listings via Craigslist (or more often than not, word of mouth).
This is one time the euphemism rarely available applies.

I missed it, Maly. What happened yesterday? Was it anything like the Awaye realty thread last year when the owner showed up and said Awaye had no rights to the listing?

I went to a party in this building once, and the apartment was amazing.
It is totally inconvenient to transit, but you can’t get more convenient to grocery shopping.
