Rental of the Day: 446 Kent Avenue, #7B
This two-bed, two-bathroom apartment at Schaefer Landing is perfectly nice as far as Williamsburg rentals go. There’s plenty of space and a killer view to boot. (Subway access: not so much.) Also, the rent of $3,300 seems pretty fair for a newish development on the waterfront. Agree? 446 Kent Avenue, #7B [Great Jones Realty] GMAP…

The shuttle is 2 bucks, and goes to both the Marcy J,and the Bedford L.
The water taxi has been there for years, and is about to get better ( more crossings, every 20 minutes 7am-8pm), and cheaper (if you work downtown).
I’ve lived here for 3 years. Its pretty awesome.
If you can’t walk to the J, then you’ve got problems.
“if i wanted to be in the water i’d live on the north side”
Cause those bldgs have swimming pools.
1. the shuttle is free i believe.
2. i don’t want to have to take a shuttle though
3. the pricey water taxi is finally opening?
4. if i wanted to be in the water i’d live on the north side
The bus is free if you live there.
im pretty sure the people who move in here dont actually have to travel to work so subway access is moot. i dont think the kinds of people that actually move into these kinds of buildings really work or have jobs anyway… at least not ones they have to commute to.
and yes, im jealous of the views and stuff. so wht

seriously, it’s not that far to the J or the M. like 10 minutes. totally do-able.
I’m not a Schaeffer Landing fan, but the walk to the JMZ trains isn’t bad, and now that the M goes up 6th Avenue, I think it actually has pretty good subway access.
This is way far from the subway and the suttle costs $2 each time you take it. Ridic.
there is a community shuttle bus to the subway.
