A franchise of the firm Rapid Realty is opening a storefront location on the corner of Pioneer and Van Brunt. According to Johnny Colon, a broker with the company, the Red Hook location is supposed to be open for business before the month is out, and it’s one of 14 new Rapid franchises in the works. Another one is being built out in Clinton Hill on Myrtle Avenue between Franklin and Skillman, Colon said. The majority of the real estate firm’s storefronts are in Brooklyn. GMAP

  1. Just wondering
if I was an Asian Snacky-shop owner – or just any old snack shop owner that had reasonably priced good food with normal operating hours – how many people could I expect to attract to my shop in a given day in Red Hook?????

  2. WOW!!!! I am completely shocked to see all the negative reviews on this company.

I,on the other hand had a REALLY GREAT experience with Rapid Realty. Recently found an apt through them not too long ago and it was one of the most pleasant experiences I’ve ever had with a real estate co. The total process took about 3 days between seeing the apt and getting approved. My agent was very professional and worked really hard to get me what I requested – for the money I requested it for.

In my personal opinion – I think it is a Wonderful addition to neighborhood. C’mon….give me a freaking break; do you have any idea of what Red Hook used to be like???? That’s crazy!!! People won’t take a sec to write a something; but they are the first to spend a lifetime promoting negative.

  3. So crazy! Me and my roommates got our place in Park Slope through Rapid, and we love it!! Our broker Laneesha (sp?) was so nice. She showed us 5 apartments in one day and helped us get approved even tho I’m a freelancer and my income is kinda all over the place.

Only thing I didn’t like was their office was super hectic w/people running around all over the place. Don’t think I’d want to work there, but next time I have to move, I’ll definitely give them a call. Sounds like their going to be everywhere anyway!

  4. Shady. showed me an apt, I paid for a credit check, then it turns out the apt didn’t have a COO and wasn’t able to be rented. Did I get a refund for the credit check for an apartment that didn’t exist that rapid snaked me into? No.

  5. Oh boy don’t get me started on Rapid Realty! I had a bad experience with them. Still got the apt, but had to deal with the sketchiest brokers I have ever met to get it.

Just thinking about it makes me want to take a shower!

  6. Ha this is too funny. I used to work with rapid realty about a year ago. I ended up quitting because i got a job in my field (Yay for me!) but during my experience with them i didn’t make gobs of money but it was enough to get by. I did work beside other entry level agents that were making some serious money and they seemed like hard working decent people. On the other hand there were agents there that i wondered how they paid for there own lunch(probably still lived with mommy) because they made so little money.

  7. I honestly think it’s AMAZING that Rapid Realty hasn’t even tried to fake a reboot of their company. Simply change the name, get a fresh batch of Yelp listings…

It would take at least 3 months before they are seen as the pariah that they are.
