A franchise of the firm Rapid Realty is opening a storefront location on the corner of Pioneer and Van Brunt. According to Johnny Colon, a broker with the company, the Red Hook location is supposed to be open for business before the month is out, and it’s one of 14 new Rapid franchises in the works. Another one is being built out in Clinton Hill on Myrtle Avenue between Franklin and Skillman, Colon said. The majority of the real estate firm’s storefronts are in Brooklyn. GMAP

makes sense – none of the rentals they advertise are EVER available.
the old bait and switch trick.
bxgrl — it’s the signed-up-today-first-comment aspect.
And they are growing because of the owners/building managers. Not because of the renters. Of course they’ll get customers if they have all of the less than Corcoran price tag rental stock.
The alleged future Clinton Hill office (Myrtle between Franklin and Skillman) is in Bed-Stuy.
So why does a good review mean someone’s an agent for them? Seems to me their business wouldn’t be growing so fast if everyone had a bad experience. B’stoner is full of bad reviews of every real estate agency.
But I have to admit, I like racheldoesright’s approach…. “Sounds like their going to be everywhere anyway!” i.e., submit to your master!!
Gemini10 — Both ceeswifey and racheldoesright are obvious shills.
Ceeswifey – considering this is your first post ever and your obvious shill for Rapid Realty – you must be an agent with them…..huh?
But in this day and age, they’ve got 14 offices and a billion agents. Rapid can’t possibly be as sketchy and shady and still be in business – it would just be impossible. Both landlords and renters would’ve balked years ago.
So all the bad reviews – an instance of squeaky wheels and such?
Half their income is from running your credit report. Costs them probably $10, and they charge you, what, $75? Their motto there is to get you in the door, run a report, put down a deposit, then figure out if they can deliver the apartment.
