slope, maybe you want to consider like Metro PCS for daughter? It’s 40 bucks unlimited calling, text and internet. No contract as well. The only negative part is that it works great in the city but not too great when you travel out of the tri-state area.
Well, m4l, we’ve already decided we want some of what the iphone can do over a blackberry. Mostly internet convenience, touch screen, stuff that’s useful for travel convenience, as opposed to pure entertainment.
We’re actually looking at mixing it up a bit – a family plan with one fancy phone and two that are simpler (I don’t travel and don’t need the wi fi, and my daughter will get the bare minimum of a cell phone so she and we can be in touch when necessary when she is outside adult supervision).
We are outside of any contract, so are true free agents at the moment in terms of phone service.

NOP, I’ll be all over it. I have a photograph of the mansion that used to be next door to the two still there. It’s where the large Deco apartment building is now. It was a very Arts and Crafts/Shingle Style looking building, and was better than the two still there. Gone by ’29, when the apt building was built.
