if I lived in that Lincoln house, I could somehow manage to survive ok that I missed the point.
Lincoln Place is disturbing. Open floor joists and exposed brick everywhere, it doesn’t look like a brownstone. Why pay the premium to live in one of these beautifully finished buildings if what you are looking for is brick and joists? I don’t mind modern updates, the bathrooms look beautiful, but at a certain point, you’re missing the point of living in an historic brownstone.
Finally making progress on my new (co-op) rental apartment… slightly less stressed. I wouldn’t even bother with this place if it weren’t for the 2 kitchens. How can you even think about entertaining without it? I’m not about to let the caterers use *my* kitchen!
Ha! I guess I’m living low rent style…no extra kitchen for my personal assistant/cook Jeeves to call his own 🙂
looks like could be train going into ground…and an ugly parking lot. House doesn’t seem to be very deep either. Could explain the price….which I think could be good deal…looks nice inside.
what? you only have 1 kitchen in your apt?
10th st. listing says its a two family, but I’m counting 3 kitchens. What gives?
Pete:
ahhh is that the stretch btwn 4th and 5th avenues across from the Train Station rails?
“i can’t see the pics expanded some reason for the 10th street house – but it seems a bit underpriced, no?”
No. It’s between 4th and 5th, so the price does not seem at all low.
Since when is 10th street no longer “South Slope”? I looked back and Brownstoner has always labeled 10th street as “South Slope,” as it should.
