It’sa few blocks away but I would have to think it is an issue of construction noise and then increased car and foot traffic after the contsruction is built. I’m certain a lot of people in Prospect Heights are just going to want out before ground is broken. House itself is well-priced but it’s the neighborhood that will change–for the better or worse, that’s the $1.6 million question!!
how close to st marks is ratnerville going to expand?
notice 3 st marks houses are on the market at the same time!
Only guess would be proximity to new arena and Ratnerville is what’s keeping the price down.
Whether it reflects the market or whatever, I would take St. Mark’s in a second, at barely $100K over the FG and CH houses — good location, deep yard, nice pix, and whatever I dislike cosmetically (personally hate granite but that’s just me) is a small fix in the grand scheme. What am I missing?
Assuming the buyer is not a parishoner, is it a good thing or a bad thing to be across the street from Our Lady of Victory Church?
weak market is reflected with the pricing of St. Marks .. .. .. others will follow!
St. mark’s house is a steal. I’d take it in a heart beat. I remember two years ago when a 97 (5 story needing everything)was in bidding war that went over $2 million.

Yes, Corcoran even says St. Mark’s house is Prospect Heights.
