  1. What is that picture of the wrought iron stair rail? It’s not 269 Macon’s, is it? Because one of the pictures from the side- sorta- shows a straight up and down railing. Unless my eyes fail me.

  2. I was also surprised by St. mark’s price of $1.6. It’s one block away from the $2.3 for sale on St. Mark’s which got so much discussion a few days ago. I went to see the $2.3–it is lovely but does seem overpriced. Re Ratnerville, I live 2 blocks from the Gehry bldg going up at E Pkway and Plaza. I hear no noise at all so far. But I don’t have a yard–windows closed a lot–and this is only one building! (not like projected Atlantic yards)

  3. I live around the corner (Decatur) from the BedStuy house. At that price and location…there will be offers on the place by next weekend.

BTW, you aren’t lying about moving the car on Sunday morning. It is terrible.

  4. There is a charm living in front of a church and I think that the house on washington despite the ugly 80s furnitures is done with amazing bonds very sturdy place where everything is new and even the basement/cellar is livable, great 5 story, I went to see it last week and is a good house.

  5. our b’stone is just a few houses downfrom the property on macon. its a beautiful block. very quiet and very friendly. just walking by looks like it may be on the shabbier side inside, mebbe needing a good bit of work. ill go to the open house and report.

  6. I walk by the corner of Throop and Macon often, and 6 days out of 7 you’d be across from a pretty, well-maintained, building with plenty of parking. I don’t know about this block, but on my block near a big church, most everyone knows not to park on the S side of the street Sat night if you want to move your car Sunday morning. And if you do get parked in, the church will notify members during the service (on a screen) that their cars need to be moved.

Maybe some churches are more considerate neighbors than others. . .
