President St is a lovely old place — what a great project for someone with deep pockets. But priced too high. Sellers don’t seem to understand that buyers need to be able to see a point where their investment will match the potential resale value and if that point is more than 5 yrs away — which I would argue it is, given the current state of the market — they will walk.
I like the new 4th St house a lot. Weird reader’s comment in the WSJ article about how it could be bought by HPD for their housing lottery — as if! I guess there are still plenty of folks out there who think PS is a slum. Then again, maybe we’re all living in a bubble.
