Sweet god of broken churches stop your miracles!
With reference to the Carroll Gardens Summit street prop, this church on summit was just brought back to life and now on every hour even in the middle of the night (ues at 1 am!) these morons set their church bells off – we are one block up and one block over on Henry and I can feel this in my intestines! CHRIST!!!
Does anyone know what can be done about this?
Yeah whoever is thinking about buying this house please note the following:
The church bells can be heard in NJ
The house faces the BQE and is basically on Hicks
It’s sandwhcihed between two school houses
Your backyard faces the church grounds
There is a wedding every saturday wherein your street is blocked off by limos and the same white horses and carriage from the previous week.
Someone please break the bell!
Montrose,
Approximately when do you think the PLG tudor home was constructed?
Irving Place is asking a BIG price for a small house that is, as others have suggested, really on the edges of Clinton Hill. 1.2M is 2007 pricing, IMO. The Lefferts place looks okay, but is right by Flatbush. Needs to be further in on the block to command that price. The math on Summit works with the two rentals. But after the post yesterday about what to do with problematic renters, I wonder who wants to pay more than 2M to deal with two rentals. What to say about Sackett? I guess it is better to be on the edges of Park Slope than the edges of Clinton Hill/Bed Sty or Lefferts Garden/Flatbush, but you’ll pay through the nose for it!
The Sacett St house is nice it is just overpriced given the location, and detailing – 1.8M would be fair; <1.7M and its gorgeous
Love PLG. Do not have million dollars. Le sigh.
However, for what it’s worth, wasder, $1MM in Clinton Hill makes more sense to me than $1MM in PLG.
“I don’t know why that Sackett Street place made me frown and feel a little annoyed.”
Cause the floor plan SUCKS!
Wasder, were you speaking about the Irving Place home which appears to be a hop skip from several of the attacks/rapes about which we’ve been fretting on Brownstoner and elsewhere?
It is a lovely place. Makes me feel like I’m truly breathing when I look at the pictures. Clean, spacious, uncluttered, fresh whites and nice finishes. Sigh.
I do Nokilissa. It looks like a mediocre renovation. I can’t really make out the front entrance door details all that well but it looks HD to me. I may be mistaken on that but not about the rest of the details or lack thereof.
Anybody van run new electric, plumbing and HVAC and put up sheetrock and new floors. it’s all about the details.
Sackett looks quite high to me given the block. Brownstones above 6th haven’t gotten that much lately.
