I love that Montrose splits Crown Heights into Crown Heights North and Crown Heights South.
Is the dividing line Eastern Parkway?
I live near the Bergen St house. Cute block (almost suburban vibe on one side of the street because of the deep sloping front yards; mostly warehouses on the other) and good location for subways, shopping and restaurants. Small house obviously but huge back yard. Looks like some nice detail with upside for improvements but OK to move-in if you don’t have a reno budget. For under a mil, it might suit buyers who really want a house instead of an apt. Lots of houses this size in Philly, DC etc. Every home doesn’t have to be a mansion.
Crown Heights South house isn’t bad, it’s just too expensive. The listing says it has a garage, too. Drop it to between $600-$700K, and it will sell. Those are nice blocks over there, near Medgar Evers College.
Bainbridge was bought out of foreclosure for $265kin November 2008.
