“If he’s earnestly attempting a government based economic recovery he seriously has to look into what happened in Japan in the 90’s.”
He was.
“If he’s actually a fraud attempting to engineer a semi-socialized state a la Europe…”
He now is.
I just can’t fathom that he is that stupid. I think he now feels where the real power is (Central Bankin Cartel) and how valueable his life is.

wasder,
No, I can’t say I ever heard Bush step up to a national speech and basically state that he was cleaning up the last guy’s mess. Obama’s MO has been just that, it is getting tiring to hear him state how he’s just cleaning up the last administration’s mess.
Bush made many mistakes, but I can’t say he was ever the type to blame others.
>>BHO has to step up to the fact that he’s in charge and start leading.
Brownstones Half Off needs to step up? ROTFL!!
How about we have our second american revolution and throw all the wall street bankers in jail as a start?
“I didn’t once hear Bush mention that it was Clinton’s legacy.”
You didn’t? I sure did.
>>-the absolute lunacy that is the 2000 page healthcare “reform” bill which will end up increasing healthcare expenses and still leaves about 24 million uninsured without any improvement in the quality of healthcare.
Here are the issues with healthcare as we know it today:
1) We spend more per capita on healthcare than other advanced nations because:
-We are fed crap food and are sicker than other advanced nations
-Doctors have the incentives to over prescribe because they get paid that way
-Doctors have the incentives to over prescribe tests because of malpractice lawsuits
-Patients tend to over utilize to get tests done because the co-pay is so low
2) Our employer based system of healthcare is antiquated and came from an era in the 50’s when one worked for GM or Eastman Kodak their entire life. With 15 mill uninsured today and growing due to unemployment, we need to find a way for them to buy healthcare.
3) We still pay for the uninsured when they get emergency help at the hospitals and these procedures are more expensive than preventive care, but yet we still pay for them as a nation
Arkady,
With all due respect, GWB is retired in Texas. BHO has to step up to the fact that he’s in charge and start leading. If he’s earnestly attempting a government based economic recovery he seriously has to look into what happened in Japan in the 90’s. If he’s actually a fraud attempting to engineer a semi-socialized state a la Europe, he has a lot of explaining to the majority of angry Americans who didn’t sign on for that.
I won’t get into the very long arguments for and against an aggressive stance on radical islamic fascism but suffice it to say, they hit us for 1 Trillion on 9/11 and I didn’t once hear Bush mention that it was Clinton’s legacy.
Thank goodness. Nuance is not what we expect from you BHO and even the suggestion that your theory is not iron-clad was disturbing to me. Balance is restored to the universe!
“What gives?”
Nothing. I was mistaken. I focused only on YOY. Today’s NY C-S reading (174.38) is actually DOWN from last month (174.89), not up. So it looks like a turn ‘back to reality’.

If GWB hadn’t gotten us into the stupid war we’d all be a lot better off.
