House of the Day: 43 Love Lane Revisited

Now it’s back, and the asking price this time around is $2,500,000. We shall see.

HAHAHA dh!!
@Brooklyner123
I really like your carriage house.
@Pigeon: Yes
Brooklyner123, I have walked down Love Lane many times recently, but perhaps, being the unperceptive person I am (according to Mrs. C, et.al.) I didn’t notice much of a change to the garage.
I hope you’re right and they do finish the conversion within a few months. Perhaps it will help make that immediate area much more aesthetically pleasing and vibrant. I do think the homes along College Place are beautiful. Your optimism is encouraging. We’ll see how it turns out.
Brooklyner123,
Is the garage being converted into apts?
Biff,
I neither confirm nor deny carpet-bombing the Moutarde awning.
@Biff Champion:
You must not have walked down Love Lane in at least 6 months if you think the left side of College Place “facing out” is an ugly garage “that doesn’t look like it’s being converted anytime soon.”
The developer definitely stalled for a while but in the last 6 months, they’ve made considerable progress converting the garage. I’d say the place looks vastly nicer already, as compared with how it looked when it was a working garage. They chose very attractive windows and cleaned the brickwork. They’ve done a lot of work on the interior too. Looks like it’ll be completed in about 3 months, I’d say.
The Love Lane Mews development, although it’s taken a while, has definitely made College Place and Love Lane a much more attractive place to live. It also will bring more pedestrian traffic down Love Lane, so it won’t have that desolate feeling at night anymore. And the location actually is much more convenient than the north Heights.
Pigeon, btw, you were mentioned in the Moutarde thread today.
