84 Joralemon Street has had a tough run. The single-family brick house hit the market (and was a House of the Day) in December 2008 when the asking price was $3,400,000. The price was reduced to $3,250,000 shortly thereafter and was taken off the market in February 2009. It reemerged with a new broker in September and just last week underwent another price cut to $2,975,000, a price that starts to look interesting for the Brooklyn Heights location.

  1. BoerumHill,

Judging from Googlestreetview, there’s a garden level, parlor level, plus two floors above the parlor. And I assume there’s a cellar, too, but not sure.

  2. “THAT is a parlor I want to take a hot toddy into with a good book and curl up in one of those comfy chairs in front of a fire.”

    Hi Noki!!! I’ll join you!!!

    😉

Is this properly (as p-shark calls it) a 3 story, or a 4 story as the listing calls it?

Basement – no windows, not counted
Garden floor – windows but below grade, not counted
    Parlor, 2nd & 3rd floor – 3 stories

    Correct?

  4. “I love red walls.” (Pigeon)

Looks like they did the red really well here. I love red walls too, but there’s a fine line where they can become oppressive. And another fine line where they can just look silly.
