House of the Day: 88 Prospect Park Southwest
The owners of 88 Prospect Park Southwest in Windsor Terrace paid $895,000 for the 1,750-square-foot townhouse in 2006 and, from the looks of it, did a pretty comprehensive renovation. Now they’re asking $1,150,000 for the place. The listing portrays the house as a good condo alternative, which isn’t a bad way to think of it, given the size and finishes. It’s pretty pricey on a per square foot basis for a house in this area but for someone who wants to be right across from the park in a totally refinished space maybe it’ll do the trick.

11217, I used to spend too much time in my parent’s basement as well. You see! we have a lot in common!
It was, like most basements, cooler than the rest of the house by about ten degrees. But then I turned eleven, and decided to get out more.
how ’bout just moving to one of those monestaries where there is no talk.
I just spent a few days at home with my folks and they live in a suburban colonial house…you know 4 bedrooms/3 baths, maybe 3500 square feet.
I spent the entire time in the basement!! Best space in the house!!
Pete, I moved to Brooklyn to get away from all the talk in Manhattan about loitering in the lobby.
I took the Myrtle Avenue bus once (don’t ask). It was truly a miserable experience. Beyond the pale of imagination.
boy, that is a funny reason to move to the city from suburbs- because people talked about the basement usage.
Maybe talk talk talk of central a/c will drive me to move to adirondacks.
It doesn’t say too much about your observation skills that nearly half of all buses in NYC are now either running on Natural Gas or are Hybrid.
Minard doesn’t take the bus too much I’m guessing. Maybe cause they don’t have zoned air conditioning on board…?
Looked it up. The butter stick, listing by Brooklyn Real, is in contract. The ask was 950, so assume it went for around 900? Where does Corcoran get off asking 1.15 for this one?
Minard, methinks you doth protest too much…sort of along the lines of shillstoner.
