House of the Day: 615 3rd Street
Hot house! This 4,552-square-hoot brick and limestone two-family is certainly one of the grandest to hit the market so far this year. Built by an architect for himself in 1899, the house’s kitchens and bathrooms have been updated recently. We can’t find a single thing to complain about, from the park-block location to period details…

We can’t find a single thing to complain about, from the park-block location to period details to scale of the rooms. Gorgeous. We’ll see if the price tag flies though: They’re asking $3,800,000 for a place that traded for $2,850,000 in mid-2006. Doable?

And no, I didn’t know any of them personally from my days working the Borscht Belt…
He’s not cute to me and I’m a RQ.
DIBS, I would suggest Lou was actually the comic and Bud was the straight man. Another great straight man was Oliver Hardy (to Stan Laurel).
Jason Wu is not especially cute, but his clothes are beautiful.
He designed Michele Obama’s Inaugural gown, Dave. Making quite a splash in the fashion world now. Anna Wintour allegedly even smiled during his show. That would be a first for her.
We don’t include Richard Simmons in our club. There is such a thing as “too gay.”
And Lou Costello, Biff. The straight world does lay claim to Mr. Rogers, as well.
Bleh…jason Wu’s not my type.
11217…everyone gets over Diesel once their waist line goes above 26″ 🙂
“ghastly by even my bad straightman standards.”
There is a lot of blatant heterophobia in this thread.
Now perhaps we should talk about great straightman standards. I would suggest Bud Abbott was one of the best.
Is Jason Wu cute??? I don’t know who any of these people are. Fashion designers??? I’m a bad gay. I remember getting yelled at by an old queen at Sidettracks video bar in Chicago because I didn’t know that the woman in the video was Rita Hayworth.
> “gay men have impeccable taste”
How then, do you explain Richard Simmons?
