The oddest thing about the new listing for 47 Sidney Place in Brooklyn Heights is the broker the sellers chose to use: Tabak. We can’t recall them ever having a Brooklyn listing, and they’re not likely to get a whole lot more giving the lame, lazy effort they’re making on this two-family house. With a price tag of $5,250,000, you’d think they could take a nice shot of the exterior and include some interior views as well. As it is, it’s pretty hard to comment on the pricing. The description makes the house sound pretty fancy schmancy, but without pics there’s no way to know whether it’s well-done, or just nouveau cheese.

  1. I think Tabac is breathing a sigh of relief the pressure is off the Sidney Place listing.

Dave, yes, I’ve been to Bangkok (and Phuket and Chiang Mai). I recall losing a game of darts to a bar girl one night whose dart releasing technique cannot be described here without risking getting permanently banned from posting.

  2. Heather speaks French. Perhaps she should call the agent, although I’m fairly certain anybody who uses the phrase “home extraordinaire” has never spoken French in his / her life.

  3. Have you ever been to Bangkok and seen the “sparklers show” Biff??? It usually comes after the ping pong balls!!!!

See Tabac…if you had posted pics and a floorplan and had a reputable listing this thread would not have degenerated into this kind of stuff. Serves you and your client right.

  4. Memento, one of my favs.

Know what? This has both a Chandaleer AND a Marble Cawlumn!

Heather, I can not express my gratitude! Seriously, I get way too much pleasure out of looking at houses like this. You made my day!
