House of the Day: 328 Senator Street
This new listing at 328 Senator is handsome indeed and on one of the best blocks in Bay Ridge but the asking price of $1,299,000 is also definitely on the aggressive side for the area so we shall see. Lots to like though: Parquet floors, beautiful brownstone facade, attractive garden. That price is a little…

“them bus drivers are pretty smart – they go to tunnel via 3rd or 4th ave.”
During AM rush hours, the express bus uses the HOV lane on the Gowanus.
By the time the bus makes it up to third ave, close to this house, it’s packed and most likely standing room only during rush hours.
I used to ride this bus (not the short one) often.
The Bus/HOV lane on the Gowanus moves well even in morning rush hour. Maybe not 15 minutes to Wall Street, but a surprisingly fast commute, and pleasant in that unlike the subway, express bus doesn’t stop every couple minutes for another horde of people to squeeze on and shove their armpits in your nose and stomp your feet.
Minard, Not in the early morning.
Why no floor plan? Without a plan all I can tell is, oh that’s a nice corner of a parquet floor, and that looks like a nice staircase, and those choices in the kitchen are a shame… almost 4000 feet? Why no floor plan? Could this house be almost 4000 feet? Wait, the thing on the side says 3000, hm…well, either way, have I asked why no floor plan?
Man, that is a missed opportunity with that beautiful blue Viking stove in the kitchen. It’s being obliterated by the heavy redness of the wood, and, yeah, Dave, that backsplash tile is unfortunate.
true you can probably make it up fourth avenue in 50 minutes.
Minard, them bus drivers are pretty smart – they go to tunnel via 3rd or 4th ave. just like only amateurs connect to the BK Bridge off the FDR
The tunnel to Wall Street is way up in Carroll Gardens. you can be on the BQE for an hour between Bay Ridge and the tunnel.
Sure, you can call the listing agent directly, but your buyer’s broker isn’t going to be able to assist you in this unless you offer to pay his/her commission – otherwise he/she would be working for free. The listing broker works for the seller, and has the seller’s best interests at heart, not the buyer’s.
fastest medium to get your ass to wall st from here is the express bus that goes thru the tunnel. think the ride is 20 minutes. dont know the wait / interval time
