AH! Ditmas snarks, Ditmas scores!
Whoah… a neighborhood email list!
Oh, and by the way, I once again repeat my belief that apartment buildings designed by Montrose Morris are hulking, gloomy, ugly affairs (sorry present-day Montrose).
I wonder if the Syrians have this type of argument among themselves about the best place to live in Gravesend?
“Why would anyone pay $10M to live on Ave S when this place on Ave. P is going for $6.5M”????
Ditto – I moved to Irvington NY. One of the best choices I’ve ever made. I’m sure it’s not for everyone, but the Mrs and I keep shaking our head and wondering what took us so long. Living a short walk to the train station, short walk to the village (restaurants, bars, etc) and a short walk to the kids’ school. Amazing neighborhood (there is a neighborhood email list, regular neighborhood cocktail parties…). And now I have a view of the Hudson river and a comfortable seat on the metro north in the morning instead of dealing with hipsters on the F train. All for about what a 2 bedroom in park slope costs.
The comments were fun to read.
Keep arguing for my enjoyment. Thank you very much.
