Not surprisingly, we’re digging this new listing at 135 Eastern Parkway aka Turner Towers. The three-bedroom co-op is on a high floor with great light and has been recently renovated. In particular, the bathroom and eat-in kitchen were done over very tastefully in our view. Like all the apartments in this building, ceilings are high and the floors and beamed ceilings radiate old-school goodness. The asking price on this particular unit is $1,100,000. Think they’ll get it?

  1. I would tend to doubt that they had combined apartments. Turner Towers had some really large apartments, including a 10 room penthouse (used to be rented by the family who owned Kirsch Beverages, I’m told). I was in a 7 room apartment on a fairly high floor about 45 years ago, occupied by my parents’ friends. It was very spacious.

  2. It looks like the floor plan of this one has been altered — there are only a pair of windows for the large living/dining space, which might make those spaces feel a bit cavernous (hard to tell without looking at the space).

The listing also doesn’t tell you what the views are.

Broker boasting of the white walls = broker shelled out or prevailed on owner to have some oddly colored rooms repainted and wants you to know it, LOL.
