Co-op of the Day: 138 Remsen Street, #2B
This second-floor co-op at 138 Remsen Street may have a slightly odd layout but it makes up for it with a great feel, including 14-foot ceilings and lots of original details. The FSBO listing clocks in at 1,000 square feet and comes with a reasonable monthly maintenance of $825. The asking price? $729,000. Sound about…

11217, I like the Remsen Street apartment you posted. Sadly, “No Dogs Allowed”. Having the same issue with a place on Pierrepont too – offers with dogs considered last and least.
If he doesn’t even know he’s been there, that’s pretty useless.
Though he may not realize it, as a matter of fact, *rob* has been to Ditmas Park. We had a gathering at Sycamore.
because this is a real estate log, I want to point out, and this is not due to any snobbishness or anything else, that there is no comparison between this location and Utica Avenue. Just need to state the obvious.

You been to either of those neighborhoods, Rob? No, didn’t think so.
yes i have. well kensington anyway. not sure about the other, and why does it matter anyway? i know for a fact i would never step foot in washington DC and yet know that housing is overpriced there as well!

I’d think this place backed up on Hunts Lane — some bldgs have parking back there
and I think prices doubling in 8 years isn’t so crazy. I thought rule of thumb was you’d double your money in conservative investments every 7-10 yrs. that was in the olden days of course.
11217, rob defines affordable as under 50k
