Co-op of the Day: 138 Remsen Street, #2B
This second-floor co-op at 138 Remsen Street may have a slightly odd layout but it makes up for it with a great feel, including 14-foot ceilings and lots of original details. The FSBO listing clocks in at 1,000 square feet and comes with a reasonable monthly maintenance of $825. The asking price? $729,000. Sound about…

Very odd layout, good for a couple. If kids come though, they will need to sell unless they want to raise a child in a hallway.
It is a roomy one-bedroom for a stylish single or couple who don’t eat much. More likely someone will buy this and divide the real bedroom in two and make it a three bedroom. People are crazy.
Listings like this make me very depressed about living in nyc. Three quarters of a million dollars and your kid is sleeping in a a glorified hallway and your bedroom is open to the dining room. The only thing that will make me more depressed is when bstoner philly gets going and I see what you can get down there for that money.
“Looks about 9″”
Take it to the OT.
it’s pretty and airy
but I have to agree with the other posters, the layout would be hard to get over unless you are a couple not looking to have kids, then I guess the possibilities could be more…
seems like it’s a big one bedroom plus that’s priced like a one bedroom plus. hard to reconfigure since there’s no window in that LR. anyway, it’s pretty.
A kitchen sink for people who don’t eat. Looks about 9″.
It’s basically a long studio with a hallway on the side, which they’re calling a “bedroom”
Very odd layout.
Pass, it’s maybe 850 square feet (including storage) and the layout is terrible, maybe if this could be a duplex with above or below than it could work. To odd to bother.
