Co-op of the Day: 60 Plaza Street East

If you’re going to post a bunch of dark, crappy photos of an apartment, you might as well include a stuffed animal in each of them—you never know when your buyer might be a plushie. This particular place at 60 Plaza Street East in Prospect Heights is fairly large for a studio and does have an enclosed terrace, but the listing could benefit from a little staging, especially if they have any hope of achieving the asking price of $369,000.

I hope she put the cat on the kitchen countertops prior to posing it in the bathroom.
I think we are dealing with an artist of the most genius order. Expect to pay $10,000 a print for those image at a chelsea gallery near you.
the agent obviously thinks she is cute / funny doing the where’s waldo / traveling knome thing, plus has a baby pic for her photo. Actually, i did chuckle. This doofus (me) likes whatever makes me laugh these days, which isn’t much.
very funny, and like others, i didnt even notice the apt., just the cat. this marketing tactic is backfiring.
is this part of the agent’s humor?:
“with large closet -for dressing, sleeping, or home office.”
or stating its “2.5 rooms”. wtf is a half room?
Speaking of pictures, I think Arlene needs to update hers.
Horrible lay-out, even if you remove the bookcase/divider.
Come on… if you happened to have $75,000 to plop down. This cavernous home could be yours for the low low price of $2200+ a month. Hoping the maintenance doesn’t change.
(Oh wait, i forgot. Somebody always brings up the HUGE savings related to taxes… so take a $1200 or so off you annual ownership costs. That DOES make a huge difference!)
“Bedroom? Uh..I don’t think so. It’s a bed separated by a bookcase from the living room.”
it’s a STUDIO. studios don’t have bedrooms. the listing accurately calls it a “sleeping area.”
i like the prop. it gives a sense of scale that extends across all the photos. i also don’t think the photos are all that bad, and i give the broker credit for including a good selection of pictures.
Ok – I was going to take a break from commenting on Brownstoner – but this lured me back in
THIS IS FRIGGIN HILARIOUS
OMG
who does this? All I looked at WAS the stuffed cat – the rest of the place is totally unmemorable!
ugh – I won’t pay $369K for a stuffed cat and a flat screen!
no siree bob!
