Regardless of the 1,426 square feet of indoor space and 2,000 square feet of outdoor space, $1,350,000 is still a very big check to write in this part of town for an apartment, so it’ll be interesting to see if the buyers are there, even at a reduced price. What do you think?

fort greene is one of those areas where the rental prices in particular don’t seem to match up with the purchase prices on the townhouses or condos.
‘if you had one million dollars what would be the FIRST area youd buy in?”
no where. i’d rent.
*rob*
lol yes id buy in jersey city if i had 1 million dollars before neighborhoods like this.
of course in nj they tax homeowners appropriately, so taxes would be higher… in nyc people who own homes dont pay hardly anything in taxes.. which is why the public schools are so bad? perhaps.
fort greene is very pretty tho, and of course it’s not out in bumblef*ck exactly, but the prices are ridiculous for what it is.

TD, of course that would be Rob’s birth hood – lovely Jersey City.
Rob,
Paulus Hook area by the water?
Rob, so you would consider spending 1+M on pad in crown heights, bed stuy,… or any other hood you frowned up previously before considering ft greene?
If you had 1 million bux what would be the FIRST neighborhood you would buy in?
It’s pretty clear now that Corcoran thinks it can revive the market, and repair the bubble, simply by inflating their prices to ridiculousness.
wait, fort greene, with access to almost every single subway in NYC within 7 blocks of this building, is “way out in bumblef*ck commute-wise”?
there are parts of fort greene, like those on the north side of the park, that are far from public transport. this area is pretty much the opposite of that.
