We featured Unit 2A at 35 Pierrepont Street as a Co-op of the Day back in March when it was listed at $1,800,000; that place was subsequently reduced to $1,685,000 and is now in contract. Now the same unit on the third floor of the prewar doorman building has hit the market with an asking price of $1,875,000. Other than being a floor higher, it’s not clear to us what makes this place worth $200,000 more, especially when the kitchen doesn’t look quite as nice. Maybe the layout of this place (kitchen and master bedroom are in different spots) works better for some reason. We shall see. It’s certainly a very desirable pad!
