This week, a look back at four of our featured listings from six months ago focuses on homes in Prospect Lefferts Gardens, Clinton Hill and Prospect Park South. How did they fare?

This Prospect Lefferts Gardens one-bedroom doesn’t come with a lot of bells and whistles, but it does have some Deco character, an efficient layout and freshly skim coated walls. For those worried about noisy upstairs neighbors, it also has the benefit of a top floor location at 125 Hawthorne Street, an elevator building. The unit includes a generous foyer with a walk-in closet that opens to a living room with two exposures. There is the typical shelf niche found in apartment foyers of this era along with arched doorways and wood floors. This former Co-op of the Day entered contract in November.

As Clinton Hill Cooperatives go, this one-bedroom is one of the cutest we’ve seen, with a renovation that jibes with the modest and modern origins of the complex. This unit is located at 345 Clinton Avenue, the South Campus, on the slightly elevated first floor, which explains a quirk of the apartment. Behind the entrance door, a short flight of steps leads to the unit. The original layout, with its feeling of openness and spaciousness, has been preserved. This former Co-op of the Day sold in September for the asking price of $675,000.

In the Prospect Lefferts Gardens Historic District, this circa 1909 limestone was designed by the prolific Benjamin Driesler and hasn’t been on the market in decades. There are still some period details on the interior of the single family, including wainscoting, a mantel, built-ins, wood floors and pocket doors. One of the bathrooms still has original tiles on the walls while the other got a Deco tile makeover several years later. This former Open House Pick sold in September for $1.675 million, which was $100,000 under the asking price.

The lush details in this Slee & Bryson Colonial Revival in the Prospect Park South Historic District have remained intact after a design update by the owners of Calico Wallpaper. The stylish makeover of 197 Rugby Road was featured in Elle Decor after the couple purchased the house in 2019 for $2.995 million, and now it is back on the market. The interior details in evidence when the early 20th century single-family was a House of the Day in 2019 are still in here, including the entry hall’s inglenook, wood burning fireplace, wainscoting and staircase. This former House of the Day sold in December for $3.395 million, which was $100,000 over the asking price.
