Our picks for open houses to check out this weekend are found in Park Slope, Carroll Gardens and Bed Stuy. They range in price from $2.195 million to $5.5 million.

A grand brownstone on a prominent block in the Park Slope Historic District dazzles with 1890s finery and its scale. Technically a two-family, the four-story building is set up as a one-family, with triple parlors and, above, two floors of bedrooms. Its eye-catching exterior has arches and rounded bays, and inside there are elaborate cabinet mantels, original tile work, stained glass, fretwork, moldings and a grand stair hall with built-in bench. With updated wet rooms and mechanicals, including central air, the house appears to be in move-in condition.

In the Carroll Gardens Historic District, a circa 1869 brownstone has a fair amount of preserved interior detail, including wood floors, carved marble mantels and plasterwork. There are also tin ceilings and wall moldings. The three-family is configured with a duplex on the garden and parlor floors and two floor-through apartments above. The bathrooms and kitchens appear recently updated and there is mini-split air conditioning.

Returning to the Park Slope Historic District, close to Prospect Park, a circa 1903 brick and limestone row house has striking neo-Classical details such as dentils, columns, swags and urns. The light colored woodwork appears to be oak, and there is colorful original tile on the mantels, a bay window with seat, and wainscoting and hall tree in the entry. The two-family has a center stair with two kitchens, one on the garden level and one on the top floor. For privacy, a new owner might want to refine the layout so it functions as a triplex over a garden rental. Also of note for green thumbs is the extra wide backyard.

In the Stuyvesant Heights Historic District, a circa 1900 brownstone designed by architect Charles Infanger appears to be in move-in condition with plenty of original details, although a new owner might want to make some style tweaks. The three-story three-family is set up as a floor-through apartment over a duplex and has been in the same hands since the 1930s. The house has parquet, three mantels, painted woodwork, fretwork, moldings and tin ceilings. A recently updated bathroom has white subway tile walls.
