Our picks for open houses to check out this weekend are found in Park Slope, Bed Stuy and Kensington. They range in price from $1.699 million to $4.1 million.

In Park Slope, this angled bay-fronted brownstone hasn’t been on the market since the 1980s and offers up some period details like encaustic tile, carved marble mantels and moldings. It is a legal three-family being used by the current owner as a single-family, with a main kitchen on the garden level and a secondary kitchen on the penultimate floor. A new owner might want to give that layout a rethink and make some style tweaks, like removing a heavy built-in office in the parlor, but the row house appears in move-in condition.

In the Stuyvesant Heights Historic District, this 1870s Italianate was an Open House Pick back in 2018. It was a day school for boys and girls in the 1920s and ’30s with a certificate of occupancy for 40 students. HPD currently records the property as a two-family although it is set up as a three-family with an upper duplex and two rental units. It has ceiling moldings and decorative mantels combined with painted floors and renovated kitchens and baths.

This standalone in Kensington has some period details and while a new owner might want to make some style tweaks it appears move in ready. There are moldings, an original stair and a columned mantel, but the added baseboard heat is perhaps not to everyone’s taste. The single-family does offer plenty of space with five bedrooms on the upper two floors. There is also a generous yard and a private driveway.
