This week, a look back at four of our featured listings from six months ago focuses on homes in Midwood, Prospect Park South, Beverly Square West and Park Slope. How did they fare?

In Midwood, this sponsor unit offers some Deco details along with an updated kitchen and the bonus of two full bathrooms. It is on the second floor of a six-story 1930s building known as the Versailles at 1717 Avenue N. No floor plan is included in the listing, but the photos show a typical layout for the period and a spacious interior, with rooms accessible off of a large foyer. That foyer includes an arched niche, and most of the doorways that open to the rooms beyond sport fanciful matching shouldered arches, a style detail found in other units in the building. This former Co-op of the Day entered contract in May.

With its eye-catching stepped side gables and broad front porch, this Prospect Park South standalone has some allure even before one gets to the detail-filled interior. For car owners, there is also the added attraction of a two-car garage with a Tesla charging station. The single-family has the details of the period on the first floor such as wood floors, moldings, pocket doors and built-ins. Parlors flank the central entry, which has a bench built into the original stair and stained-glass sidelights around the door. This former House of the Day sold in June for $2.95 million, which was $150,000 over the asking price.

In Beverly Square West — the Victorian Flatbush neighborhood between Prospect Park South and Ditmas Park — an early 20th century standalone hasn’t changed hands in decades and appears beautifully kept. The seven-bedroom house has plenty of interior space as well as numerous original details like wood mantels, wainscoting and a coffered ceiling in the dining room. A private driveway leads to a two-car garage. This former Open House Pick sold in September for $2.795 million, which was $100,000 under the asking price.

Located a nice strolling distance from Prospect Park, this 1880s brownstone offers period details like mantels, moldings and stained glass along with some updates. The 20-foot-wide row house is within the Prospect Park Historic District at 181 St. Johns Place. It’s set up as a two-family with a rental on the garden level and a triplex above. The owner’s triplex includes the parlor level with wood floors, plasterwork and a columned mantel with mirror in the front parlor and a matching mantel in the dining room beyond. There are five more decorative mantels in the house. This former House of the Day sold in September for $5.6 million, which — unusually — was a whopping $1.605 million over the asking price.
