This week, a look back at four of our featured listings from six months ago focuses on homes in South Midwood, Prospect Lefferts Gardens, Bay Ridge, and Flatlands. How did they fare?
First up, situated on a corner in the South Midwood section of Flatbush, this early 20th century standalone offers a big yard, parking and, inside, updates alongside period details. Those original features and the house’s flow and footprint don’t seem to have suffered despite 2024 Glenwood Road being converted to a two-family with an upper duplex and a first-floor rental. This former House of the Day entered contract in October.
In the Prospect Lefferts Gardens Historic District, this 1890s single-family has mantels, pocket doors, and a renovated kitchen. After a price drop of $100,001 to $1,899,999, this former Open House Pick entered contract this month.
Built as one of the bookends to an early 20th century mixed-use development in Bay Ridge, this tapestry-brick row house offers some vintage interior features, including an intact dining room, and is still set up as a two-family. This former House of the Day sold in November for $1.26 million, which was $30,000 under the asking price.
Finally, in Flatlands this 20th century brick row house has an attached garage. This former Open House Pick is still available for $840,000, a price cut of $25,000.

I can’t imagine why the house on my block of Midwood Street remains unsold. I’ve been inside (when a theater company rented it several weeks ago to stage a play set in a Brooklyn brownstone). It looks pretty good.
What do you know. The listing was just updated and now the house is in contract. I updated the story.
Good news for the seller. No, I have no inside knowledge.
