  1. Joe from Brooklyn, I think the style is neo-Tudor with a touch of Federal, especially the building next to it. These Carriage Homes (circa 1900) aren’t that common, there are a few in neighborhoods such as Fort Greene, Bed-Stuy and perhaps even Crown Heights.

  2. 11217, the question is what the closing PRICE is. This is not listed anywhere in public record. As Antidope points out, this is a legitamate question.

    You harass Miss Muffet at least as much as Rob harasses you.

  3. If the house went to contract on November 17th, I have a hard time believing Mr. B would have made a separate entry about the place if he weren’t sure it sold. Otherwise it would have just showed up on next week’s biggest threads.

    It’s been 2 months since it went to contract…I’m guessing it’s a done deal by now.

    If it just went to contract 2 days I ago, I could understand the speculation about it being possibly “sold temporarily” but as it stands now, I think I’ll take my chances with the Mr. B/streeteasy info over the Miss Muffet/Northheights pessimism.

  6. i think it is a reasonable question.
    many times, listings are mistakenly listed as sold temporarily on streeteasy.
    if you understood that it’s data comes from brokers before it is recorded in acris, you would understand that it is subject to manipulation/error by the brokers.

    i am inclined to think King Stoner gets some infor from brokers, but this could easily be an error.
