Well – they look like they are those expensive Glad Forceflex bags. Nice choice.
11217. All great points.
Sorry if I’m a mean poster. mmmmmwa.
Joe, Surely I can be a bitch, but take a look at this thread as an outsider for a second and realize that it’s about a house selling in a gorgeous neighborhood and 99% of the comments on brownstoner are talking about the trash bags out front as if they know everything there is to know about these people and their recycling habits from a couple of bags, which for all we know might have been thrown out by the next door neighbor and put in front of this house. It’s really shallow and is the kinda thing that makes me hate the internet sometimes. Rant over.
DIBS — I don’t know about Center City Philadelphia, but bins (witch attached, hinged lids and wheels) look and smell a lot tidier than piles o’ garbage.
Do I sound just like you do in almost every post Joeingowanus?

I suppose we hear what we want to hear- the both of us. All of us.
The difference just might be that I KNOW I’m a little bitch and therefore don’t go around calling others as such.
“Maybe they enjoy fallen leaves, which look particularly lovely at the foot of those august PS brownstones.”
Perhaps when they first fall, but after a few weeks of rain, snow and salt, it all just becomes a pulpy mess, THAT THEY DON’T SWEEP UP!!
You know what blocks really amaze me? Take a walk down 3rd Street between PPW and 7th Ave. These two blocks contain some of the most magnificent homes in all of PS. Take a look at the condition of the sidewalks: litter and leaf-strewn!! I just don’t get it.
Pigeon,
I agree 100% with your assessment of why people leave leaves in front of their house.

Re: Trash cans in brownstone Brooklyn.
Don’t get me started on another community driveway rant…
