Sorry to hear that they are closing, but wish Joe and Marie all the best in their retirement. Their restaurant was great and will be missed by many.

no, they are closing because condos are being built there.
Too many condos and apartment buildings are being built! The area is going to be so much more congested then it already is. But, that’s New York City for you. On another note, it’s really something to see how loved this restaurant and it’s food is. That a rarity. In my neighborhood of Forest Hills, no restaurant is even close to being adored, probably because no place like Joe Abbracciamento even exists.
Thirteen years ago I had my daughters baby shower there , I had 40 women .I must tell you as I told you then. It was so wonderful all family style. The food was so excellent , My family is still talking about it.
I wish the Abracciamento family luck in their retirement. All good health,happy and prosperous New Year.

I live in Florida now but when I was growing up I lived in Howard Beach and went to P.S.146. A Mr Anthony Abbracciamento was my science teacher for 3 years. I loved him. He was the best teacher I’ve ever had. Is he related to you? Please respond if you have the time.

Im so very sad to see Joe Abbrecciamento Restaurant leave the neighborhood. your restaurant has always been a staple for our family. We have celebrated so many occasions while enjoying a meal there both happy and sad . Im so very grateful for the care and attention you gave my parents over the years. Thank you .
