  1. Why require the TypeKey? Because the ignorant comments detract attention from the substantive comments on the site. If you haven’t been on a thread for a while and come back to see a host of nonsense comments, you have to scroll through all the garbage to find the serious comments. Who has the time? It’s a big deterrent.

  2. Okay, everyone. A little experiment over the weekend. Since we can’t be at our desk all day long on Saturdays and Sundays we’ve set it up so if you don’t have a TypeKey account, we have to approve your comment before it will post; if you have a TypeKey account, you can fire away unimpeded.

  3. In spite of the incredibly infantile behavior shown above…

The skylight in 62 Midwood is on the third floor as the term is used in NYC real estate: ground, parlor, second, third. I don’t like it, but that is the way it is. The terminology that is; the skylight is large, faces north, and illuminates a very large and lovely room.

  4. re: Williamsburg – that’s seems like a hell of a lot of $$ for a house on the other side of the BQE and looking over a not very active car wash. Plus its a 5-family – what are the tenants paying now? The center stairway gives it a bizarro floorplan. How small are those units (and is the “owner” unit really 1250 sf?).
